1. Photos you check
When you drop a photo into LinkedIn Photo Checker, it is loaded into your browser's memory and analyzed on your device using JavaScript and an on-device face-detection model (TensorFlow.js / face-api.js). The image data is never transmitted over the network to us or to any analysis server. When you close or reload the tab, it's gone.
You can verify this yourself: load the page, turn off your internet connection, and the checker still works.
2. Information we do not collect
- Your photos, face data or analysis results
- Your name, email or any account information (there are no accounts)
- Precise location data
- Any form of cross-site tracking identifier set by us
3. Third-party services
All fonts, the face-detection library and its model files are hosted on our own servers. The single exception is Google Analytics: your browser loads the gtag.js script from googletagmanager.com and sends visit data to Google, as described in section 5. Using the checker itself makes no other third-party requests — photos and text you analyze are never sent anywhere, including to Google.
4. Hosting & server logs
This site is served as static files. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for security and operational purposes, subject to their own retention policies. We do not combine these logs with any other data.
5. Analytics & advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-FCH3025M3J) to understand overall site traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country/city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived here. GA4 anonymizes IP addresses and does not log or store them. It sets a first-party cookie (_ga) to distinguish returning visitors from new ones.
Google Analytics only sees page visits. It cannot see your photos, your headline text, your scores, or anything else you type or upload — that analysis runs entirely in your browser and produces no network requests. We do not run advertising, and we do not use Google Signals, ad personalization or remarketing features.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's official browser add-on, or by blocking cookies/scripts from googletagmanager.com — the checker works the same either way.
6. Local storage
The checker keeps your photo and score only in your tab's memory. We do not use localStorage or IndexedDB to persist anything about you or your photos. The only cookie on this site is Google Analytics' _ga cookie (see section 5); we set no cookies of our own.
7. Children's privacy
The tool is intended for professionals building a LinkedIn profile and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by LinkedIn in your country). Since we collect no personal data, we hold no data about anyone of any age.
8. Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe you have a privacy question or request we can help with, contact us via the contact page and we'll respond.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted clearly.
