How long does a full LinkedIn profile audit take?
About 20 to 30 minutes with your profile open in another tab. Most people move quickly through the photo and headline items, then spend the bulk of the time on About and experience bullets. You don't have to finish in one sitting — your progress is saved in your browser.
What is a good score on this checklist?
36 out of 40 or more means your profile is recruiter-ready. A score of 28 to 35 is strong with a few gaps left. Below that, the photo and headline items usually give the biggest wins per minute of effort.
Which section should I fix first?
Start with your photo, then your headline. They appear in every search result, comment and connection request, so they decide whether anyone clicks through to read the rest. After that, the first two lines of your About section matter most.
Does this checklist save my progress?
Yes. Every checked item is saved in your browser's local storage only, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. Nothing is sent to a server, and clearing your browser data resets the list.
Does this tool upload my profile information?
No. The checklist runs entirely in your browser and nothing you tick ever leaves your device. There is no account, no tracking of your answers, and nothing to delete later.
